Dr. Jamie FU

Residency-trained Small Animal Surgical Registrar

BVSc (Hons), MANZCVS (Small Animal Surgery)

Initially from Hong Kong, Dr. Jamie FU pursued his veterinary education in Australia, earning a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland. After spending a few years in small animal general practice and emergency medicine in Southeast Queensland, he developed a strong interest in small animal surgery.

He joined Veterinary Specialist Services on the Gold Coast, starting as a rotating intern and progressing to complete a surgical internship and embark on a small animal surgical residency. During this residency, he gained invaluable experience in complex surgical procedures, with a focus on orthopaedics, brachycephalic diseases, and minimally invasive surgeries.

Dr. FU is passionate about improving surgical outcomes and believes in a collaborative approach to patient care. He values working closely with clients and referring veterinarians as a team to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient, fostering open communication and shared decision-making throughout the process.

Dr. FU loves cooking and enjoying a glass of wine outside of work. He proudly owns three cats, Annie, Spitfire, Chocki, and a Corgi named Bikkie. He cherishes spending time with his pets and embracing life’s little joys alongside them.
