Mobile Surgery Services

What is a mobile surgery service

When the news is given to you from your local vet that your pet needs advanced surgery, the news is not the easiest to absorb.

As a vet and as a pet owner, when you have a sick pet with a complicated condition, you want to make sure they receive the best possible surgical care. But you also want to make sure the surgery is affordable, as well as ensure that you are providing your pet with the best experience.

CityU Veterinary Medical Centre is proud to work with our local and referring vets to provide a mobile surgery service, where our surgical experts will come out to your local clinic to operate on your pet.

Benefits for Pet owners

By bringing our CityU Veterinary Medical Centre Surgical Team to your local vet to perform the advanced surgery procedure, there are several benefits for your pet:

  • Affordable referral surgery
Having your pet operated by our mobile surgeons at your local family vet clinic will ensure that the total surgery and treatment costs will be more affordable compared to a full referral surgery at a specialist centre.
  • Familiar Environment
We can ensure that your pet gets the operation he or she requires in the familiar setting of your local family vet, an environment that they have grown accustomed to visiting and feeling safe.
  • Continuity of care with your trusted GP
By having the operation done at your local vet clinic, we work closely with your local family vet through the whole surgery process, from pre-operative planning, the operation itself and the post-surgery after care. Our surgeons pride ourselves not just in our advanced technical capabilities, but in our communication and partnerships that we foster with our veterinary colleagues.
  • Logistics of travel eliminated
Having our mobile surgical team work with your local family vet saves you from having to travel to a referral centre to have your pet’s surgery performed. In addition, many pets will need follow ups, most of which can be performed at your local vet clinic.
