Dr. Yorkee Leung

Interim Executive Director


Dr. Yorkee Leung brings extensive expertise in veterinary hospital management to his current role. With 17 years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in Australia and Hong Kong, Dr. Leung gained valuable insights that have shaped his career. He earned his Veterinary degree from the University of Sydney in 1999 and pursued further postgraduate studies in Small Animal Medicine and Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care. His dedication and commitment led to his admission to the membership of the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists through examination in Small Animal Medicine.

In addition to his clinical accomplishments, Dr. Leung has made significant contributions to the veterinary profession in Hong Kong. He successfully established and managed two Veterinary Hospitals from 2002 to 2016. Dr. Leung played a pivotal role as one of the key founding members and part of the management group of the CityU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory between 2016 and 2019, demonstrating his strategic vision and leadership abilities. Subsequently, he assumed the position of Director of Clinical Operations at CityU Veterinary Medical Centre from 2019 through 2021, driving the center’s growth and success.

Since 2021, Dr. Leung has taken on the role of Clinical Programme Manager for the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine & Life Sciences at the City University of Hong Kong, showcasing his passion for education and excellence. He was appointed as the Interim Executive Director of CityU Veterinary Medical Centre in 2023.
