In these years, she has increased interest in emergency and critical care of small animals, so she studied and accomplished Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care from The University of Melbourne in 2020.

In the beginning of 2022, Dr Shirley returned to Hong Kong and joined CityU VMC as she wants to continue her passion and practise out what she learnt in the emergency and critical care field, in order to save more lives in the critical moments.
