Dr. Jason CHEN was born and raised in Hong Kong. He completed his Zoology degree at the University of Otago, New Zealand, and his veterinary degree at the University of Sydney, Australia.

He found his interest in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia during his final year of vet school. After around a year in general practice, he began to work as a veterinary anaesthetist at the University of Sydney for two years. Although it was rewarding to be teaching veterinary students, he decided to pursue further study and completed an anaesthesia internship at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital in Sydney. His special interests are locoregional anaesthesia as well as feline anaesthesia.

Dr. CHEN enjoys music, basketball, culinary arts, travelling as well as video games. He and his partner have two cats and they are known amongst their friends as the crazy cat couple.
