Responsibilities:
- Greet, direct customers and provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing, cross-sell and after-sales services)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services and inform customer about promotion
- Ensure racks are fully stocked & display
- Provides excellent/outstanding customer service (especially during peak times). Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records
- Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards
- Alerts management of potential security issues
- Assists with inventory, including receiving, moving and stocking merchandise
Requirements:
- 1+ year of work experience as a Retail Sales Representative in pet industry or FMCG would be an advantage
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Pet lover & willing to move 10+ kg goods items
- Passionate, Self-motivated and proactive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Good command of English & Chinese
- Computer proficiency in MS office including Excel & Outlook is a plus

Position Summary:
CityU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (CVDL) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Veterinary Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily focus on diagnosing animal diseases through detailed pathological examination of tissues, organs, bodily fluids, and whole animals. This role supports clinical services, research, and teaching activities by providing expert pathological analysis and consultation. While the position centers on veterinary pathology, candidates with leadership or management experience are encouraged to apply, as these skills will be considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform necropsies and histopathological examinations to diagnose diseases in animals
- Analyze tissue samples using microscopy, immunohistochemistry, molecular diagnostics, and other laboratory techniques
- Collaborate closely with clinicians, researchers, and laboratory staff to provide diagnostic and research support
- Prepare detailed pathology reports and communicate findings clearly to veterinarians, researchers, and stakeholders
- Participate in teaching and training veterinary students, residents, and technical staff

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree

This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the clinical support teams across General Practice (GP), Emergency & Critical Care (ER/ICU), and Inpatient Wards in a large, multidisciplinary referral hospital. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality nursing care, operational efficiency, and staff development while collaborating closely with hospital leadership to support strategic goals and clinical excellence.
The role is also to be a coach and mentor for all VAs, VNs and VTs, understanding and building a positive culture within the team, and driving the future strategic direction of the nursing and clinical support at CityU VMC.
Main Duties & Requirements:
- Coordinate and monitor day-to-day clinical nursing operations to ensure smooth functioning and high standards of care.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to uphold clinical support standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Assess operation needs and make decisive decisions regarding caseload and resource allocation.
- Manage rostering and staffing needs of GP, ER/ICU, and Wards support teams, and implement dynamic changes based on workload and workflow.
- Develop strategies to improve hospital coverage through effective resource allocation and a strategic critiquing of zones and department needs.
- Participate in regular senior leadership meetings and meet regularly with the Executive Director and operational subcommittees to align nursing and clinical support services with hospital goals.
- Build strong, positive relationships with different stakeholders including veterinarians, Customer Service team, clinical support team to understand their service needs and enhance support staff collaboration.
- Assist with the integration of clinical teaching rotations, ensuring staff participation while maintaining clinical service delivery.
- Cooperate with HR team in providing development and retention of nursing staff, establish career ladders and development strategies, conduct annual performance reviews and participate in recruitment process for new talents.
- Provide support to the clinical operation on ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Holder of professional education background and qualifications in veterinary nursing or healthcare or health services discipline is preferred
- Proven leadership experience, managing departments and large clinical teams, not limited to veterinary field
- Exceptional collaboration and team building skills, including high level of emotional intelligence.

CityU Veterinary Medical Centre (CVMC) in Hong Kong has an opportunity for a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Veterinary Medicine to join our specialty centre in Hong Kong. If you are just starting your career, or you are an experienced veterinarian looking for a change, this is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of veterinary clinical service and education in one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
The 12-month rotating internship programme provides an opportunity for new graduates or recently qualified veterinarians to receive high-quality postgraduate training in small animal veterinary medicine under the supervision of experienced clinicians at CityU VMC. The emphasis of the programme is on gaining practical clinical experience across subject specialities; anaesthesia, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency critical care, ER, GP, internal medicine, ophthalmology, neurology and surgery. This provides the intern with an opportunity to participate across specialist and ER/GP veterinary disciplines and may allow the intern to prepare for a Residency programme, if they so desire, or to become a better all-round veterinarian in practice. CityU VMC is an approved training centre for the European Colleges of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA) and Veterinary Dentistry (EVDC)
Programme aims:
- Develop a fundamental understanding of basic veterinary medicine in the disciplines noted above.

- Utilising experience gained during clinical case work up to develop technical, non-technical skills, including team-working, patient and staff safety and communication skills.
- Involvement in teaching final year veterinary students, trainee nurses and internal staff.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional professional and compassionate care for our patients in the emergency department from triage, admission up to the time of discharge
- Supporting staff veterinarians in all facets of emergency care, including triage, stabilization, preliminary diagnostics as well as interpreting and executing treatment directives
- Complete all necessary technical procedures and treatments, with strict adherence to department as well as hospital protocols

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician at the VMC you will:
- Triage emergency cases upon arrival, possess an ability to triage and direct the team throughout the shift as case priority and case load shifts
- Be an effective communicator, liaising with the ICU as required by caseload
- Understand fluid resuscitation and assessment of end-point parameters
- Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients with proper safety
- Ability to assess for shock and occult shock, have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including (not limited to) heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation (spo2)
- Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert the attending veterinarian to changes and issues
- Identify patients at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, must be RECOVER ® certified (BLS & ALS)
- Knowledge of drugs commonly used in the ER and ICU, ability to properly calculate medical math, including constant rate infusions (CRI’s) and administer medications via appropriate routes
- Proficient in performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels
- Place and maintain feeding tubes and IV catheters, urinary catheters, both male and female patients
- Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in high-risk, emergent patients and appropriately use anesthesia/monitoring equipment (capnography, pulse-oximetry, blood pressure; doppler and oscillometric)
Qualifications:
- Experience in emergency medicine, well versed in triage of the emergent patient
- Must have a positive and professional attitude, be driven and focused
- Must have animal handling experience and ability to lift and restrain animals weighing up to 30 kg
- Must be able to work successfully as part of a team
- Must also be able work independently and proactively
- Must establish and maintain effective, respectful working relationships and customer satisfaction with all participants of the emergency and critical care departments, including department staff, medical staff, support staff, clients, and referring veterinarians
- Must have ability to remain composed in stressful emergency situations and communicate with owners who may be upset or stressed

- Assist in the running of theatre, patient preparation, and theatre schedule
- Assist our surgeon and specialists during surgical procedure
- Assist in developing and improving protocols relevant to theatre nursing duties
- Provide training to the general nursing staff in prep and sterilisation of equipment

Qualifications:

We have exciting opportunities for qualified nurses to join our expanding anaesthesia team at CityU VMC. Do you want to develop and learn new skills in a dynamic and fast moving mixed primary care, referral and ER practice where you will work with similarly minded colleagues under the direction of our Diplomate Anaesthesiologists and Clinician in Anaesthesia?
Responsibilities:
Working as part of a multi-skilled team of veterinary clinicians and nurses you will provide peri-anaesthesia care to animals undergoing sedation or general anaesthesia for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including advanced imaging or surgical procedures. You will also be required to provide nursing support and perform administrative duties associated with each case. We are growing and provide anaesthetic services to a large number of cases so we need adaptable individuals who can thrive in a team environment, are able to work under pressure, but who can use their initiative to help us achieve the task. We will provide full training in all aspects of anaesthesiology with full support from nursing and veterinary colleagues.
Qualifications:
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about their job and who advocate for their patients. You will need to be able to communicate well across all levels of the practice from clients to colleagues to students as we have trainee veterinary nurses in the practice as well as external veterinary nursing students and we will soon start teaching veterinary students on placement in due course.
- Minimum qualifications: ADVN, AIRC IV, RVN or RVT
- Ideally 1-2 years in practice with some anaesthesia monitoring experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Ability to use initiative and help develop the team
- Commitment to exceptional patient care
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- 4-day work week, 12 hours per day

Main Duties & Requirements:
- Registered Veterinarian in Hong Kong, or be eligible for registration with Hong Kong Vet Surgeon Board
- Internship-trained
- Work within a team of 12-14 veterinarians, including specialists, to provide high-quality 24/7 emergency care
- Develop and expand the ER service to deliver the caseload and case profile by providing excellent customer and patient care
- Strong surgical skills are recommended
- Communicate and liaise effectively with clinicians and nurses working within other services to ensure continuity of case care and excellent customer service
- Assist in clinical teaching of CityU veterinary students if required
- 4 days on, 4 days off roster with day and overnight coverage

CityU Veterinary Medical Centre (CVMC) in Hong Kong has an opportunity for an Internship in Small Animal Veterinary Anaesthesia to join our specialty centre in Hong Kong. If you are just starting your career, or you are an experienced veterinarian looking for a change, this is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of veterinary clinical service and education in one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
The 12-month anaesthesia internship programme provides an opportunity for new graduates or recently qualified veterinarians to receive high-quality postgraduate training in small animal anaesthesia and analgesia under the supervision of experienced clinicians at CityU VMC. The emphasis of the programme is on gaining practical clinical experience in small animal anaesthesia. This provides the intern with an opportunity to participate in a specialist veterinary discipline and may allow the intern to prepare for a Residency programme, if they have other clinical experience and have the desire to become a specialist, or for a clinical anaesthesia post. CityU VMC is an approved training centre for European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA).
Programme aims:
- Develop a fundamental understanding of basic anaesthesia and analgesia principles.
- Using these principles, perform individual general anaesthesia of basic cases, and when the intern demonstrates increasing ability and knowledge, more complex cases.
- Assist in ASA 4 and 5 cases to learn the complexity that anaesthesia may require.
- Be involved in a busy and growing anaesthesia service with 2 diplomates, one clinician, one resident and 8 nurses. Participate fully in the day-to-day running of the anaesthesia service, join all relevant clinical anaesthesia activities and also academic activities.
- Involvement in teaching final year veterinary students, trainee nurses and internal staff.
- Gain team-working, anaesthesia safety and communication skills.
- Gain an understanding of research methods and scientific writing through Journal and Book Club and have the opportunity to design and undertake a small clinical research project.
- Be ready to develop and open to learning soft-skills, in addition to clinical skills, in a supportive environment.
Requirements:
- Veterinary degree that is registerable with the Veterinary surgeons Board of Hong Kong (VSBHK). (https://www.vsbhk.org.hk/english/guide/files/GAregistration_e.pdf)
- Excellent commend of written and spoken English.. Ability to speak Cantonese would be an advantage but is not essential.
