Almendros 教授时于香港城市大学赛马会动物医学及生命科学院临床动物医学系担任全科兽医临床副教授。除了教导学生外，他亦活跃于学术研究，于各医学期刊发表学术论文。 Almendros 教授很高兴能在香港最顶尖的动物医疗中心之一工作，为患病动物提供最高水准的服务。
Almendros 教授在忙碌的学术和工作生活以外，还很喜欢旅游及户外活动，如远足、骑自行车、滑雪板和浮潜；及享受香港所提供的不同类型文化活动，如戏剧，音乐会和多国美食。
