Prof. Jane Yu graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2011. She completed a small animal internship in Melbourne in 2015 and subsequently worked in several referral practices before co-founding an emergency centre in Central Victoria, Australia. She was awarded membership in the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Small Animal Medicine.

In 2017, she commenced an academic position at the University of Adelaide as a lecturer in Small Animal Medicine. Jane completed her residency in Small Animal Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2022 and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA) in 2023.

Following her residency, Jane worked in private practices in Sydney and Canberra, Australia. She earned a Master’s degree in Veterinary Studies and a PhD on serum proteomic biomarkers in chronic enteropathy in dogs and cats at the University of Sydney, supported by the University of Sydney Postgraduate Award scholarship.

She also serves as a member of the Subject Standards Committee in Small Animal Medicine for the Australian New Zealand College of Veterinary Science college.
