Dr. Michelle YIU

Dr. Michelle YIU is a dedicated veterinarian who graduated from the University of Sydney in 2021. With a passion for animal health and welfare, she began her career in general practice, gaining invaluable experience in routine care and preventive medicine. Following her time in general practice, she returned to her passion of emergency medicine and took on a challenging role at a local referral hospital, immersing herself in emergency and critical care.
Dr. YIU thrives in high-pressure environments and is particularly drawn to emergency situations where quick thinking and decisive action are crucial. She is committed to improving the lives of animals and supporting their owners during difficult times.
Dr. YIU enjoys staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and is passionate about continuing education. In 2024, she has joined two international conferences and attended a 10-month long emergency distance education course to further her skills in diagnosing and treating critically ill patients. She believes in the importance of lifelong learning to provide the quality care possible.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. YIU enjoys spending quality time with family, friends, and her two cheeky domestic short hair cats called Dai Gut and Uni.
